With 7 miles of coastline made up of 20 coves strung together beneath hillsides and cliffs it will be hard to decide on just one beach to visit. It is known for a mild year-round climate, scenic coves, environmental preservation, and an artist community. If it’s people watching, and restaurants you seek, try Main Beach. Main Beach is a nice sandy beach in a broad cove that faces southwest. Main Beach has a grass park located where Broadway Street (Hwy 133) tees into South Coast Highway (Hwy 1) in downtown Laguna Beach. The park offers a boardwalk, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, a play area for children, and a wide sandy beach for laying out on. Lifeguards look on from a tower near the middle of the beach. Surfing is not allowed in the summer months.
Laguna Beach offers a vast variety of shopping opportunities, and much of what you find is created right in Laguna Beach. Be sure to explore one-of-a-kind retail shops, for décor, bath salts and oils, jewelry, clothing, surf gear, hats and much more.
Whether you’re shopping for “made in Laguna” flip-flops, adding new summer dresses and shirts to your collection, or even shopping for bridal gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses, you will find everything you seek at one of Laguna Beach’s clothing shops.
